ABOUT US

Adaptive Learning Academy is a private school for scholars with disabilities, which provides educational, therapeutic and community outreach services that adapt to the needs of children ages 3 to 15 with special needs. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities where each child is effectively equipped to transition into the general education classroom.

Adaptive Learning Academy is the vision of Syronda Mills (Program CEO and Founder). I have a passion for working with and providing services that are beneficial to individuals with special needs. This is why Adaptive Learning Academy came about with the sole purpose of providing an educational setting that more effectively meets the needs of this student population.

With over 20 years' experience combined in the public school system, I see a huge need for a more individualized approach to better meet the needs of children with special needs.

Our program will provide a 1 to 2 teacher-student ratio with highly qualified professionals trained in special education and therapeutic services. The programs will provide a school day that will consist of academics; small groups to teach attending skills; one-on-one therapy to improve language and learning skills; and social skills training. This environment will also be conducive for increasing self-regulation skills as students prepare to transition to the regular education classroom.
